I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior in 1974 while in Hawaii. I also met my wife, Evelyn, there (and we’re still together after 45 years). I was serving in the US Army at the time. I served over 20 years in the military, retiring in 1991. Our family of 6 found our way to Texas in 1999. We placed our membership at Crestview shortly thereafter.
I enjoy serving people, which led me to serve as a deacon in this church for several years. The next logical progression was Eldership. Though it wasn’t an easy decision; with prayers of a group of brothers and sisters, and, of course, my own prayers, I felt the call to serve Crestview as an Elder.
In my free time, I enjoy photography, computers, radio communications, woodworking, and flyer drones. I also do volunteer work for several organizations, provide Notary services for the community, and teach people how to grow their own food.
I love this church and the church family. I pray that I can grow in the Word and become an elder worthy of this church family’s trust.
