I initially attended Crestview Christian Church at the invitation of my wife Kristina after we had begun dating. To be honest, I hadn’t attended much of any church during my adult years, as I had wandered away from the teachings as many do. In the rare times I did attend, I was always uncomfortable, “turned off” as I found most of them more concerned about appearances, prosperity programs, and practices, rather than the basic teaching and living the word of Christ. We are a small church family, which I appreciated as I immediately felt welcome and at home. I have now been a member for 7 years, and I am thankful for it.
Originally from Missouri, I retired and stayed in the area after 22 years of service in the U.S. Army, then worked as a civilian contractor state-side and overseas for nearly another 10 years. Kristina and I have been married for over 6 years and have 3 boys in our blended family: Logan, Christian, and John. We are also foster parents, giving little ones in need a safe, loving home. As a family we love to travel, cruise, and be outdoors hiking or camping…or just spending the day lounging in the water whether it be beach, creek, river, or local pool.
